Beef and Broccoli Stir Fry

Beef and broccoli stir fry over rice

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lb Black Angus flat iron steak, thinly sliced
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp grated ginger
  • 2 tbsp neutral oil
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • Cooked rice, for serving

DIRECTIONS

Toss the sliced beef with 1 tbsp soy sauce and the cornstarch. Let sit for 10 minutes.

Blanch the broccoli in boiling water for 1-2 minutes until bright green, then drain.

Heat oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat. Sear the beef in batches until browned, about 1-2 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.

Add garlic and ginger to the pan and cook for 30 seconds. Return the beef and broccoli to the pan, add the remaining soy sauce and oyster sauce, and toss until glossy and heated through.

Finish with a drizzle of sesame oil and serve over rice.
